Ben started teaching improv in March 2025, shortly after his day job was flattened by a sudden change in government policy. A friend challenged him to imagine his dream job—so he did. The result is Laughy Place Improv, where laughter meets community.

 

In his first year, Ben led more than 50 improv classes for over 400 participants across Northern Virginia and the DC area.

 

Ben’s goal is to grow an improv community that’s inclusive, fun, and low-pressure. Laughy Place Improv is a setting where people know your name, are glad to see you again, and can shake off the week’s stress with some well-earned laughter.

 

Ben leads Laughy Place Improv’s drop-in improv classes for adults, group workshops, and team-building sessions for workplaces around Northern Virginia and DC.
